Music Sampler Camp $249 – (ages 7 – 12)
June 23-27, July 7 – 11, and July 28 – August 1st M-F from 9:30 AM-12:00 PM
These camps allow students to participate daily in each of these small group classes: guitar, piano, and drums. All camp participants will join together for a hand chime class. Snacks will be served daily.
A demonstration presentation will be offered to parents at 11:30 AM on the last day of the camp.
World Drum Camp $169 – (ages 6-14)
June 23-27, July 7-11 M-F from 12:30 – 2:30 PM
Explore the universal language of rhythm with hand drumming! This camp allows students to experience the musical traditions from around the world and how drums and specific rhythm patterns enhance their secular and religious culture. After this camp, students will be able play authentic rhythms with different voices on their drum. A demonstration presentation will be offered to parents at 2:00 on the last day of the camp. (Minimum of 3 students.)
Materials Needed: Drums are provided in camps (Toca Freestyle Djembes), however, we strongly recommended students to purchase personal drums for practicing at home. Drum costs range from $35 to $60 depending on its size. More information is available from Mr. Croucher.
Guitar Camp for Younger Students $249 – (ages 9-11)
July 14 – 18 M-F from 9:30 AM-12:00 PM
This camp allows students who are new to the guitar to accelerate their learning process. They will be introduced to the skills required to begin their journey into the world of lead and rhythm guitar. An added benefit of this class will be to understand some of the basic music theory components that make for a well-rounded guitarist. This class will be taught by two-time Grammy Award Winning Guitar Instructor, Chuck Pangburn. Snacks will be served daily. A demonstration presentation will be offered to parents at 11:30 AM on the last day of the camp.
Guitar Camp for Older Students $249 – (ages 12-15)
July 21 – 25 M-F from 9:30 AM-12:00 PM
This camp allows older students who are new to the guitar to accelerate their learning process. Music-in-Motion Class, 5-7 years old: $275
June 9-Aug 11 / from 6:00-6:45 PM / 45 min. weekly / Mondays
Children who fall into this age category have a very unique opportunity to explore a variety of musical options before focusing on one specific instrument. This class introduces children to basic music concepts of pitch, rhythm, singing, moving to music (dance), louds and softs, fast and slow, as well as an introduction to music notation and hand signs for scales. Believe it or not by the end of this nine-week class, your student will have experienced music on a new level and will comprehend some of the basic music-related skills to propel them into private or small group instrumental lessons of their choice.
Musical Theatre Class, starting 4th-7th grade: $299
June 9-Aug 11 / from 7:30-8:30 PM / 1 hr weekly / Mondays
The emphasis of this class will be on the types of blocking, choreography, and group singing that made such musicals as Sussical, Oliver, and Annie so memorable. There will be a demonstration performance for parents on the final day of class.
