Elementary School Age Camps

Drawing in 3-D and Sculpture with Clay  (ages 9-12)- the entire week is $229.
July 14-18, from 9:30 AM – Noon.
During the first hour young artists are introduced to linear perspective or creating the illusion of depth/distance on their drawing paper. Shapes become forms, objects appear to go back in space.  A very simple, easy to understand concept, that takes a child’s art to the next level.  The second hour we make it real by building three- dimensional objects from clay.  Using a variety of techniques, students create original works of sculpture that air dry to be painted on the last day.
Painting and Paper Mache’  (ages 7-12)- the entire week is $229
July 21-25, from 9:30 – Noon.
During the first hour of the camp, students explore basic color theory and painting techniques while creating original work of art.  The second hour students expand their imaginations to create “Combanimals” or combination animals, crazy mixed up creatures that we build with found objects and paper mache.  Finally, we use our knowledge and skill with color and paint to embellish our Combanimals in true artistic fashion.
