drum-and-drumsticks-top-view_318-43974Current RSM music students are invited to a FREE introductory rhythm class Monday – Thursday, March 14 -17, offered by Percussion instructor Derrik Spiegel.  Derrik is a Bachelor’s level music education and percussion major from Texas Tech University with a background in drum line and marching band.

Perfect for ANY MUSIC STUDENT looking to improve their rhythmic skills, students will be able to schedule their 25 minute small-group rhythm class prior to or immediately following their regular weekly private music lesson, Mondays-Thursdays.  (See class times listed below.) The first class is completely free of charge!  Students who find value in this class and would like to supplement to their private lessons each week with additional rhythm training can do so for a nominal fee of $25 per month from March – May.

A solid grasp and understanding of rhythm is an absolutely essential skill for a musician. Regardless of the instrument a student plays, this class will help them to become a stronger and more confident player and strengthen their overall musicality.

No Extra Trips! Pick a class time before or after your regular weekly lesson:

Monday Students: 3:30 – 6:00 PM

Tuesday Students: 3:30 – 7:00 PM

Wednesday Students: 3:30 – 5:00 PM

Thursday Students: 3:30 – 6:00 PM
