Getting to know your instructor:
Sarah Harrigan is known by his students as “Sarah” or “Ms. Sarah”. Ms. Sarah began piano lessons at age 5. “It wasn’t until Jr. High that I learned to have a great love for playing through a teacher that exposed me to new and exciting music. She motivated me to earn a degree in Music Education. I studied voice as my proficiency in college. I enjoyed performing in choirs and musical productions, as well as leading choirs.”
As for a significant and inspiring event, Mrs. Heise states “I was given an opportunity to lead a children’s Choir at a Home school Convention at age 16. I loved it so much that I knew I wanted to be involved in teaching, leading music and being a musician as a career”.
Ms. Sarah received her Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Pensacola Christian College in 2001.
Ms. Sarah’s philosophy is: “Students will be encouraged to grow in their musical knowledge through sequential instruction and exposure to music that motivates the student to succeed. Practice is a habit that will be strongly encouraged. Students will also work toward being prepared for performances.”
Something interesting about Ms. Sarah is: “I love coffee, photography, crafts, my children and…coffee! Did I mention I LOVE coffee?!?”
