Regardless of whether a child plays the piano for a short time or for a lifetime, they will acquire a baseline of skills and knowledge that will continue to benefit them throughout their life. In fact, learning to play the piano can be one of the most valuable of all musical studies because it is the most straight-forward and intuitive of instruments. Learning piano can also help tremendously when a student is studying a different musical instrument later.

We recommend that younger beginning students start with a 30 minute private lesson once a week. Older beginners can benefit from a 30 or 45 minute lesson. More advanced students typically find 60 minutes to be of greatest benefit.

Piano Lessons

When are Piano Lessons Offered?

During the school year, Private Piano Lessons are offered:

Monday – Thursday from 1:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Friday from 1:00 PM – 6:30 PM
Saturday from 8:30 AM – 2PM
Sunday afternoon from 2:00 – 6:00 PM

The minimum age for piano lessons is 5 years old.

INSTRUMENTS

Investing in a quality instrument is an important element in a student’s success. This will make the learning process more enjoyable. If you already have an instrument, please make sure it is in good repair and in tune. If you need the name of a reputable piano tuner, please contact our office.

We absolutely LOVE school of music. My daughter asked to take piano lesson at the age of 5 and this was definitely our perfect match. The teachers and so kind, patient and knowledgeable.
